Voiceover training in the new millennium.

Over the past decade the standard required voiceover styles have evolved quite substantially. Unfortunately, most voiceover training is delivered by people who no longer have much, or any, contact with the industry. So these essential skills are not being taught.

Rather than teaching people to sound like the boring constructed radio voices in the industry, the course is thematically based around understanding your uniqueness and the natural authority in your voice, as well as creating an authentic, believable sound when reading unnatural advertising copy. This approach moves you more into the far more lucrative TV medium and the untapped and booming internet medium.

Of course we cover the basics as far as voiceover and microphone technique. You will learn the different styles in advertising as well as new styles for the emerging internet market. You will learn how to adjust your voice technically to change mood, emotion or even change your character completely.

But, unlike any other voiceover training course you may have done or researched anywhere in the world, you learn, understand, and are able to apply techniques that will put you on the cutting edge of the trends within the industry. This will give you a powerful edge over your competition in the business, including artists that are firmly established in the marketplace (in short, our head of voiceovers, Andrew Carlton, is one of his country’s top VO artists and he knows things that most of them don’t). We explore subjects such as the consumer psychology that advertising copywriters (script writers) base their scripts on and how you can apply those theories to your reads.

Learn The Business.

What’s more is you will learn key information on how to break into the voiceover industry- the best agents, the big ad agencies, how to make the best demo to get you noticed by the right people.
